They have put in a record breaking season that included the most points in a season as well as most goals scored.

With the competition starting in just a few weeks' time many punters will be looking to bet on the World Cup as Germany head in as defending Champions and joint favourites to lift the title again. Betfair make them 9/2 joints with Brazil which will come as no surprise to anyone as they are of course the leading two nations in the history of the competition. Brazil will be looking to build on their 5 titles to date but they have not been successful since 2002 so they will certainly be hoping for more in Russia than they have in recent World Cups.

With the incredible strength in depth and experience on the biggest stage they are going to be a threat for any team. The event is as always going to be the biggest sporting occasion with vast media attention from around the World. With this being the case many companies will be looking to get involved as sponsorships in order to benefit from the event. So who are the sponsors and key non sponsors for the upcoming World Cup? So what about England? Could this finally be the year that another trophy is lifted since 1966?
