Brest claim a draw against Montpellier
A goal by Santiago Gentiletti saw Brest come back from two goals down to claim a draw against Montpellier in an eventful game in Ligue 1.

Olivier Giroud had given the visitors a two-goal half-time lead before Ben Basat pulled one back and Gentiletti ensured the hosts would claim their fifth draw in six games.

There was further drama on the stroke of full-time when Tripy Makonda was given a straight red card for a challenge on Geoffrey Dernis.

Montpellier took the lead in the 19th minute when Giroud pounced on the ball after goalkeeper Steeve Elana punched clear from a Marco Estrada free-kick.

Brest almost levelled five minutes later when Nolan Roux put a header inches wide before Souleymane Camara volley just over for Montpellier.

Five minutes before the break Giroud scored his and Montpellier's second, nodding home Henri Bedimo's cross from the left.

Benoit Lesoimier headed just over for Brest and then they gave themselves a lifeline with 20 minutes left as Ban Basat dispossessed Mapou Yangambiwa before unleashing a right-footed shot which went into the goal off the left post.

Roux skimmed the bar with a lob as Brest attacked and there were just two minutes left when Gentiletti intervened, heading home a Roux corner for his first league goal although Makonda's red card overshadowed things a little.
