Grigor Dimitrov through as Dudi Sela retires injured

Grigor Dimitrov eased into the fourth round of Wimbledon on Saturday as Israel’s Dudi Sela retired injured.

An in-form Dimitrov raced into a two-set lead, taking both the first and second sets 6-1.

And Sela, who was struggling throughout, became the ninth withdrawal from the men’s draw to send the Bulgarian cruising through.

Sam Querrey needed a matter of minutes to book his place in the last 16 at Wimbledon on Saturday when he polished off Jo-Wilfried Tsonga after bad light had stopped play the day before.

Tsonga began the second installment of the match serving at 5-6 in the fifth set and buckled on the eighth point after the resumption, going wide with a forehand to hand 24th seed American Querrey a 6-2 3-6 7-6(5) 1-6 7-5 victory in a match lasting almost three hours.

Sixth seed Miilos Raonic was pushed all the way by Spain's Albert Ramos, but he claimed a straight sets victory 7-6(3) 6-4 7-5.

Adrian Mannarino caused an upset when he beat fellow Frenchman Gael Monfils, seeded 15th, to qualify for the fourth round. However, the match went the full five sets after Monfils went two-one up in with three sets played.

Tomas Berdych defeated David Ferrer in straight sets for a straightfoward victory, and Germany's Alexander Zcerev beat Austrian Sebastian Ofner in three sets.

Second seed Novak Djokovic defeated Latvia's Ernests Gulbis on a tie-break in the third set, giving him victory and progress to the fourht round.

Crowd favourite Roger Federer defeated Mischa Zverev in his third round match, and Dominic Thiem also only needed three sets, as he beat Jared Donaldson 7-5 6-4 6-2.
