Gianluigi Buffon gunning for glory

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is desperate to claim the Champions League title ahead of his side's meeting with Real Madrid in Cardiff on Saturday.

The veteran Italian has won almost every title on offer but Europe's top prize has so far proven to be elusive.

Buffon finished as runner-up with Juve in 2015 and in 2003, and now the 39-year-old hopes to go one better and claim the Champions League title.

The World Cup winner is well aware Real are dangerous opponents but he is convinced Juve have the talent and the quality to secure the one prize missing from his own trophy cabinet.

"I have always maintained that, in football, making the final means nothing if you don't win it," he said.

"I don't look at the Champions League as the trophy that evades me - but, yes, it is a big dream for me to win it.

"After the defeat to Barcelona in the final, two years ago, many people thought I would never have another chance, but I always believed that, if we worked hard, I would get another opportunity - and this time we must make it count.

"[Real coach Zinedine] Zidane has created a fantastic Real Madrid team and they will be looking to create their own history by winning consecutive Champions League titles.

"We all know about the quality of their players - all we can do now is to be as well-prepared as possible."

Juve are
39/20 to win the Champions League final in 90 minutes and
2/1 to keep a clean sheet in the encounter.
